The meat department here is second to none. I bought my son and I each a meat package here and everything has been outstanding! The butchers in the meat shop are an absolute joy to talk with. Finally a store that puts the customer first! If you're not shopping here you're missing out!
DKs is my local grocery store. I couldn't be more loyal to them. They have a fantastic selection for a small store. But the reason why you go to DKs is the meat section. You won't find better in the region for a better price. Unparalleled
I love DKs! We live in Hamel and it is great having a small market so close to home. They have everything you could need and have a great butcher and deli! We always stock the freezer during their annual meat sale. We also buy their lunchmeat weekly. They always have a ham and a Turkey on sale which is really nice.
This is a great market for such a small town! The prices are a little higher than normal, but it saves you from having to drive into busy Edwardsville to get what you need. It is fairly clean, (there is kind of a lingering meat smell, but that's from the extensive meat counter they have), and organized well! Don't waste your time on the produce here. Every fruit or veggie I have gotten here has been bad within minutes (dramatic, but you get the point).
